Part-Time Temporary Educational Assistant

The Peace River School Division requires a Part-Time (0.80 f.t.e.) Temporary Educational Assistant at Cleardale Colony School, located in Cleardale, Alberta. This position will commence on October 9, 2026 and continue until June 29, 2027. The initial assignment will include working in a multi-grade classroom, primarily with students in grades 4-9.

Cleardale is a small farming community in the Peace River Country close to the banks of the Peace River. The community is approximately 200 km from Grande Prairie and 80 km from Fort St. John, British Columbia. Cleardale Colony Hutterite School serves students in grades 1 through 9.

• Educational Assistant Certificate or related experience and/or training
• Ability to work with students of different ages
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively
• Excellent organizational skills

• Provide an acceptable current Vulnerable Sector Check

Consideration will be given to applicants who have an understanding of and appreciation for Hutterite culture and values. Bilingualism in English and low German is considered an asset.

This is a union position under the CUPE Local 4839 Peace River School Support Staff.

$23.27 to $28.86 per hour(dependent experience and education in accordance with the collective agreement between the CUPE Local 4839 and the Peace River School Division).
