Location: North Central Island and Bute Inlet Region (Gold River)

Join Gold River Secondary School as a temporary 1.0 FTE Teacher effective immediately. This role emphasizes teaching PHE, math, and science while fostering an inclusive learning environment.

School District 84 is seeking a flexible, qualified teacher for Gold River Secondary. You will be responsible for teaching various junior courses, including Physical Health Education and electives, while demonstrating a strong belief that every child can learn.

Your role will involve effective planning, classroom management, and collaboration to enhance student engagement and achievement.

Key Responsibilities:

• Teach Physical Health Education and junior math/science courses

• Create an optimal classroom environment for all students

• Adapt instructional methods for diverse needs

• Use balanced assessments to improve student learning

• Collaborate with staff to meet educational goals

Requirements:

• Valid BC Certification with TRB

• Qualifications in secondary education, majoring in Science and/or Math

• Recent experience teaching Grades 8 to 12 in BC Curriculum

• Willingness to teach outdoors as needed

• Physical capability to fulfill teaching duties
