Support a high-needs student one-on-one as a part-time Educational Assistant using communication and structured intervention skills.
Peace River School Division seeks an Educational Assistant at Menno Simons Community School. The 0.90 full-time equivalent position supports students with learning needs, including English and ESL Mennonite students. Success requires collaboration with teachers and Program Coordinators, independent work, and small-group management.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide one-on-one support to a high-needs student
- Support students with their learning needs
- Work collaboratively with teachers and Program Coordinators
- Manage small groups effectively
- Follow structured intervention plans independently
- Educational Assistant Certificate or equivalent education and experience
- Experience working directly with children
- Experience supporting individuals with special needs
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Current Criminal Record Check under six months old
