Resource Teacher

Position: 100%  Permanent  Resource Teacher
Location: South Interlake (MacGregor)

The Portage la Prairie School Division is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic resource teacher to join our team commencing January 4, 2027.

The Portage la Prairie School Division is committed to providing excellent educational programs to help students learn and mature. The Division believes strongly in the concept of community and promotes the provision of appropriate programs to meet the varied needs of students.

Qualifications

A valid Manitoba Teaching Certificate in good standing

Manitoba Special Education Certificate (or in progress)

Strong knowledge of special education practices and differentiated instruction

Ability to develop and implement individualized education plans for students with diverse learning needs

Ability to collaborate with teachers to modify and adapt curriculum to meet the needs of students

Demonstrated experience working with students who have diverse learning needs and a wide range of abilities and needs

Ability to support students in developing social, emotional and academic skills to enhance overall learning

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with students, parents and colleagues
