Location: Central Northwest Territories (Inuvik)

Drive innovative energy solutions in Inuvik, NT as a Senior Electrical Generation Technician. Your expertise in maintenance and repair of diverse electrical systems will be crucial in supporting our generation operations.

This position is onsite, requiring advanced technical skills in electrical troubleshooting and maintenance across diesel, gas, wind, solar, and hydro systems. You will operate under the Canadian Electrical Code while supervising repairs and inspections at remote satellite plants. Additionally, your work will include coordinating with OEM for turbine support while enhancing your technical knowledge in renewable technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Diagnose and repair electrical generation and control equipment

• Conduct inspections and maintain wind turbines and solar panels

• Provide guidance to electricians on electrical systems

• Upgrade technical documentation and maintain work records

• Complete safety checks and training for equipment maintenance

Requirements:

• Certification as an Electrical Technologist with 5 years experience

• Strong troubleshooting skills in genset electrical systems

• Familiarity with SCADA systems and PLC programming

• Good verbal and written communication skills

• Valid Class 5 driver's license and clean criminal record
