Step into the role of Shift Manager at Stelco in Nanticoke, ensuring safe and efficient operations in Primary Utilities. Your leadership and engineering acumen will drive team success.
In this temporary role, you'll manage utility operations and staff performance, playing a vital part in maintaining plant safety protocols. Experience in a supervisory capacity for power engineers is essential, along with a strong background in heavy industry. Responsibilities include leading safety initiatives and implementing technical solutions to enhance productivity.
Key Responsibilities:
• Enforce safety protocols and incident investigations
• Direct and coordinate technicians for optimal performance
• Mitigate equipment issues with strategic solutions
• Develop preventive maintenance schedules
• Recruit and evaluate prospective employees
Requirements:
• TSSA 4th Class Power Engineer Certificate preferred
• Minimum two years of supervisory experience required
• Previous steel mill experience is beneficial
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills needed
• MS Office proficiency required
