Experienced Wapiti Operator at Cenovus

Join Cenovus as a skilled Wapiti Operator within our Northern Corridor Operations team. Candidates will ensure efficient and safe operations of oil batteries and wells in Grande Prairie.

This full-time position focuses on the optimization and operation of the Wapiti oil battery and related fields. The successful candidate will manage call-outs, enhance production, and lead safety practices with minimal supervision. Your experience will be crucial in conducting hazard assessments and maintaining compliance with corporate and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate and troubleshoot oil wells and compression systems

• Optimize production while identifying improvement opportunities

• Conduct hazard assessments and lead safety protocols

• Manage call-outs and minimize operational issues

• Supervise contractors during maintenance and startup activities

Requirements:

• Legally authorized to work in Canada

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in oil and gas

• Grade 12 education or equivalent

• Experience with oil treating and compression

• Proven ability to work independently
