Wapiti Oil Battery Operator Position

Join Cenovus as a Wapiti Operator in our Northern Corridor Operations team. This full-time role focuses on the reliable management of oil batteries and associated equipment in Grande Prairie.

In this position, you will oversee the operation and optimization of oil wells, pipelines, and compression systems. Your expertise will help identify cost-saving measures and ensure compliance with safety regulations. You’ll work independently, manage contractor teams, and implement effective safety practices to drive operational success.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate and maintain oil wells and pipelines effectively

• Troubleshoot issues with compression systems and facilities

• Conduct hazard assessments and apply safe work practices

• Supervise contractors on maintenance and project execution

• Ensure timely documentation of production data

Requirements:

• Authorized to work in Canada

• At least 5 years of experience in the field

• Minimum Grade 12 education

• Familiarity with oil treating processes

• Strong problem-solving skills to manage operations
