Gas Plant Operator​/Power Engineer

Position: Gas Plant Operator / Power Engineer
Location: Western Alberta (Jasper)

Roska DBO Inc. is currently recruiting for an experienced  Gas Plant Operator  in the Edson, Alberta area. The successful candidate will be working at a modern natural gas processing facility located approximately one hour from Edson. This position is best suited for a motivated, safety-focused operator with strong sour gas processing experience who is comfortable working independently in a plant operations environment.

Camp accommodations are not provided for this position. Candidates must currently reside in the Edson area or be willing to secure their own accommodations.

Key Responsibilities   Operate and monitor sour gas processing equipment and systems
Perform daily operational checks and troubleshooting activities
Follow operating procedures and safety protocols
Monitor plant conditions to ensure safe and efficient operations
Complete routine documentation and reporting requirements
Coordinate with maintenance and field personnel as required
Qualifications & Requirements   5–8 years of sour gas plant operations experience
Strong understanding of natural gas processing, NGLs, and hydrocarbons
Valid Power Engineering certification is required
Preference will be given to candidates holding a  2nd Class or 3rd Class Power Engineering Certificate
Experience operating within gas processing facilities is preferred
Ability to read and understand P&IDs, operating procedures, and process equipment
Self-motivated with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving abstract
Valid industry safety tickets
Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol test
