Position: Lead Metallurgist for Côté Gold
Location: Algoma, Sudbury District and Greater Sudbury (Chelmsford)

IAMGOLD is looking for a Senior Metallurgist to drive metallurgy excellence at Côté Gold. Lead a high-performing team while overseeing mill processes and enhancing production strategies.

In this senior role, you will be responsible for coordinating critical technical metallurgical deliverables for mill operations. Your expertise will ensure effective mentorship and coaching for team members like Metallurgists, Technicians, and Refiners. Collaborate with various departments and vendors to optimize plant performance and lead continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead a diverse metallurgy team through mentorship and safety coaching

• Manage workforce schedules and optimize resource allocation

• Direct mill process metallurgy operations and accounting

• Oversee refinery activities and secure gold handling

• Analyze data to troubleshoot circuits and improve processes

Requirements:

• Degree in Metallurgical Engineering or related field

• 5‑8 years of related work experience

• 2+ years of leadership experience

• Solid understanding of mill optimization

• Experience in gold processing plant is a plus
