Location: Haines Junction
Lead innovative biopolymer advancements as the Director of Downstream Process Development at Leaman Life Sciences in Ontario. Focus on scaling processes to produce environmentally friendly plastics.
In this role, you will spearhead vital R&D projects aimed at improving separation and purification techniques for intracellular biopolymers. As part of a biotech company recognized for its eco-friendly applications, you will engineer and manage the scale-up of downstream processes and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
• Direct R&D initiatives on biopolymer separation
• Manage process engineering for scale-up projects
• Facilitate the recovery of organic solvents in processes
• Assess necessary equipment like mixers and ultrafiltration systems
• Implement best engineering practices in designs
Requirements:
• P.Eng or Master's in associated fields
• 10+ years in downstream biotech engineering
• Background in intracellular polymer recovery
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Ability to thrive in collaborative environments
