The Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo is seeking a Planner I to analyze community planning issues and assist in statutory planning. You will support development initiatives, examine applications, and provide essential customer service. Proficiency in tools like ArcGIS and strong communication skills are key to this role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Evaluate development permits and make recommendations

• Review subdivision applications and prepare reports

• Analyze factors impacting community development

• Create statutory plans in compliance with regulations

• Provide technical guidance to stakeholders

Requirements:

• Degree in Urban Planning or related field

• Experience in planning is preferred

• Membership eligibility with the Canadian Institute of Planners

• High attention to detail and accuracy

• Strong written and verbal communication skills
