Project Manager at Copper Mountain Mine

Location: Princeton

Lead impactful projects at Hudbay Minerals’ Copper Mountain Mine in Princeton, BC. This Project Manager role is integral to delivering site improvements while ensuring safety and compliance.

In this position, you will manage and execute various sustaining capital projects from initial planning to operational handover. Working closely with project teams, you will coordinate resources, track costs, and ensure adherence to safety standards. The role involves significant interactions both in the office and onsite, fostering seamless project integration.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate multi-disciplinary teams for project success

• Oversee development of Project Charters and Execution plans

• Track and manage project costs with Project Controls

• Collaborate with procurement for material sourcing

• Manage equipment commissioning processes for seamless handover

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related area

• Extensive experience in industrial project environments

• Strong leadership and negotiation skills

• Knowledge across engineering disciplines is a plus

• Familiarity with project management tools like SAP or Primavera
