ELECTRICAL/INSTRUMENTATION ENGINEER Annual Salary Range: $ 85,000 – $125,000;
Target Bonus: 10% (one existing vacancy)
Dryden Fibre Canada is currently seeking an individual to join the Dryden Team. The City of Dryden is located on the North shoreline of the Wabigoon Chain of Lakes along the Trans-Canada Highway. It is located midway between Winnipeg, Manitoba, and Thunder Bay, Ontario, and is surrounded by wilderness, lakes, and landscapes.
Reporting to the Assistant Maintenance & Engineering Manager your role will be to:
Responsibilities Provide electrical and instrumentation design engineering support to the Power and Recovery and Fibreline areas of the Mill.
Direct a variety of capital and maintenance projects from conceptual design to operating installation.
Develop detailed project scopes, budgets for new projects, prepare project approval documents, and project bid packages.
Manage installation of capital and maintenance/repair projects in compliance with all company safety, environmental, and financial policies.
Co‑ordinate and schedule maintenance, engineering, procurement, construction, and repair activities.
Qualifications – Your Profile Electrical Engineering degree required, with eligibility for PEO certification.
Experience in a pulp mill and/or other industrial environments is an asset.
Proven analytical and problem‑solving skills.
Sound interpersonal skills and the ability to work within a team environment.
Ability to co‑ordinate maintenance, engineering, and repair activities.
Safety‑oriented mindset with the desire to enforce and follow mill safety and environmental policies and procedures.
Excellent oral and written communication abilities, including technical writing, budget preparation and presentations.
Excellent computer skills with computer‑based maintenance software (SAP), MS Office and scheduling software.
Ability to utilize AutoCAD and/or experience in working with PLC controls is an asset.
Can accurately schedule and estimate jobs and projects.
