One of our clients, a major oil and gas company, has tasked us with identifying an Asset Integrity Engineer (Pressure Equipment) to support ongoing utilities upgrades at a refinery site. This is an initial 3 to 6 month contract, with a strong preference toward a six‑month duration and potential to convert to a permanent opportunity. The position is expected to start in July and will follow a Monday to Thursday schedule, working 10‑hour days.
Key Responsibilities Support the asset integrity program for pressure equipment including vessels, piping systems, and related infrastructure.
Review inspection data, assess damage mechanisms, and recommend mitigation or repair strategies.
Coordinate and support non‑destructive testing (NDT) activities and inspection planning.
Conduct field assessments and provide engineering support during inspections and maintenance activities.
Ensure compliance with applicable regulatory and industry standards.
Contribute to risk‑based inspection (RBI) processes and ongoing integrity management planning.
Collaborate with operations, maintenance, and inspection teams to drive safe and reliable performance.
Prepare integrity‑related documentation, technical reports, and asset condition assessments.
Utilize Excel and internal systems for tracking, analysis, and reporting.
Qualifications & Experience Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation with APEGA is mandatory.
Approximately 10–20 years of engineering experience, aligned to an intermediate level.
Direct experience working within a refinery environment is required.
Strong background in pressure equipment integrity and inspection practices.
Experience with non‑destructive testing (NDT) methods is required; prior hands‑on inspection experience is a strong asset.
Solid understanding of applicable codes and standards related to pressure equipment.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Demonstrated leadership experience is a significant asset.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data analysis.
Valid driver’s license.
