  • Responsibilities:
  • Safely manage day-to-day operations of refinery processes, finished fuels, and water treatment programs to ensure performance and value delivery for our company.
  • Provide field support, laboratory analysis, and technical guidance on issues, projects, turn-arounds, shut-downs, and daily operations.
  • Manage chemical inventories and deliveries at the company location.
  • Monitor performance and reliability of chemical applications.
  • Collect samples and operational data on site.
  • Conduct various daily laboratory work.
  • Perform data processing and analysis.
  • Manage inventory of various specialty products.
  • Assist in the delivery of bulk truck deliveries and tote transfers (chemical).
  • Participate in the development and economic justification of technical projects.
  • Manage and supervise various temporary chemical treatment projects as needed.
  • Develop trusted relationships with customers and cross-functional teams to promote collaboration.
  • Assist with numerous projects of varying complexity to bring value to our customers.
  • Routinely monitor and report the performance of existing treatment programs.
  • Collaborate with team members to drive technical sales and innovative solutions that bring value to our customers.
  • Collect and interpret data for troubleshooting, service reports, meetings, reviews, and presentations delivered to customers.
  • Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering (preferred) or college diploma in a similar discipline.
  • - years of experience in downstream chemical process treatment programs is ideal.
  • Good physical condition and ability to work long standing hours.
  • Required Skills:
  • Strong understanding of industrial chemical treatment technology and sales process.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
  • Previous experience working in a laboratory setting and/or familiarity with analytical methods and interpretation.
  • Comprehensive understanding of customer requirements and refinery market conditions.
  • Ability to present complex technical content to various levels of internal and external organizations in a clear and concise manner.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Programs (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook).
  • Ability to drive a company vehicle as required to perform job duties (motor vehicle record checks will be performed to determine eligibility).
