Location – Pickering/Mississauga, ONHybrid / Onsite Contract

The Raise has partnered with our client, a dynamic and forward-thinking organization operating within the nuclear industry. Committed to excellence and innovation, they are seeking a highly skilled Senior PSA/PSHA Engineer to support future Probabilistic Safety Assessment (PSA) and Probabilistic Seismic Hazard Assessment (PSHA) reviews and analysis activities within a nuclear generating environment.

This role will support critical nuclear safety and seismic risk assessment initiatives by preparing, reviewing, and validating seismic hazard analyses and technical calculations while collaborating with utility stakeholders and multidisciplinary engineering teams.

The ideal candidate brings strong experience in nuclear probabilistic risk assessment methodologies, seismic hazard analysis, and regulated engineering environments.

Key Responsibilities Prepare and review Probabilistic Seismic Hazard Assessments (PSHA)
Prepare, review, and validate PSHA technical reports and supporting documentation

Perform and review technical calculations and engineering analyses supporting PSHA reviews

Support probabilistic safety assessment (PSA/PRA) activities related to seismic risk Interface with utility stakeholders, engineering teams, and technical reviewers

Ensure technical work complies with applicable nuclear, seismic, and regulatory standards

Participate in technical discussions, risk evaluations, and safety review activities

Support regulatory and licensing documentation as required

Provide technical expertise and recommendations related to seismic probabilistic risk assessments

Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Geological Engineering, Nuclear Engineering, or a related discipline

Ontario Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) License in good standing

Completion of: EPRI Seismic Probabilistic Risk Assessment Training (Training )Demonstrated experience preparing and/or reviewing:

Probabilistic Seismic Hazard Assessments (PSHA)
Probabilistic Safety Assessments (PSA/PRA)
Seismic risk analyses within regulated industries

Strong understanding of seismic probabilistic methodologies and nuclear safety principles

Experience working within highly regulated technical environments

Excellent technical writing, analytical, and stakeholder communication skills

Preferred Qualifications Previous experience within the nuclear power industry

Experience supporting Canadian nuclear utilities such as Bruce Power or OPGFamiliarity with CNSC regulatory requirements and nuclear safety standards

Experience supporting seismic fragility assessments and SPRA activities

Advanced degree (Master’s or PhD) in a relevant engineering discipline is considered an asset

Experience participating in technical peer reviews and independent assessments
