Position: Aircraft Mechanic (C-17)

Global Technical Operations, Field Operations is looking for a highly skilled Aircraft Mechanic (C‑17) to support the Canada Operational & Intermediate (O&I) Level Maintenance Augmentation Support Team (MAST) under the United States Government C‑17 G3 Sustainment Contract, working out of CFB Trenton, ON.

Position Responsibilities

Assembles, disassembles, repairs, modifies, or upgrades aircraft systems and components to correct failures or implement changes.

Supports scheduled and unscheduled maintenance activities, including inspections, troubleshooting, repair, and replacement of aircraft components.

Troubleshoots complex pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems to isolate faults and repair defective components.

Performs validation and verification testing of systems and components to ensure proper operation.

Documents maintenance actions, procedures, test results, and inspection findings to ensure contractual and regulatory compliance.

Inspects components and verifies repairs for airworthiness and flight readiness requirements.

Supports system configuration, assembly, disassembly, and overhaul activities as required.

Works under general direction and may assist in training less experienced personnel.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience)

4+ years of aircraft maintenance experience.

Knowledge of operations and aircraft maintenance practices.

Proficiency with the use of special tools/equipment required for assigned maintenance tasks and the ability to interpret Technical Orders (TOs).

Possess a Transport Canada Civil Aviation (TCCA) Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME) licensed E rating or an equivalent military license.

Legally able to work in Canada.

Willing and eligible to work on Canadian government and defense‑related programs with no restrictions.

Consent to Canadian Government Controlled Goods Program (CGP) assessment.

No risk to the safeguarding of controlled goods.

Eligible for Secret Level II security clearance.

Eligible to handle U.S. export‑controlled data.

Preferred Qualifications (Education/Experience)

3+ years of experience with Canadian Aviation Regulations and Aircraft Airworthiness Directives.

Completion of the Canadian CC177 Globe master III Type Course via Air Educational and Training Command (AETC).

Participation in the Department of Defense/Canadian Armed Forces Airworthiness Program.

Active Secret Level II security clearance.

Proven knowledge and proficiency in Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint and the ability to learn in‑house systems.

Conflict of Interest
Successful candidates must satisfy the Company’s Conflict of Interest (COI) assessment process.

Additional Information
This is a locally hired position in Canada. The employer is Boeing Canada. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in Canada. Benefits and pay are determined by Canada and are not on Boeing U.S.‑based payroll; this is not an expatriate assignment. Starting salary will be based on qualifications and experience, within the range of CAD $95,000.00 – CAD $ annually.
