The Engineering – CPD (Continuous Product Development) function focuses on enhancing existing products, developing new solutions, and driving continuous improvement across design, performance, and manufacturability. CPD teams collaborate closely with manufacturing, quality, and other engineering disciplines to ensure products evolve to meet customer and business needs.

This internship supports our commitment to employer branding and early‑career talent development by providing meaningful, hands‑on engineering experiences that help build a strong pipeline of future CPD professionals.

As a CPD Intern
, you will support engineering teams involved in continuous product development and improvement initiatives. This role is designed to engage early‑career talent through real project work, mentorship, and exposure to product development processes while contributing to engineering support activities.

This position is ideal for students interested in product development, design improvement, and applied engineering who want to build practical experience in a collaborative environment.

So, what will you be doing as a CPD Intern?

  • CPD Project Support – Assist engineers with continuous product development initiatives, including design updates, improvements, and product optimization activities.
  • Engineering Analysis & Support – Help perform basic analysis, testing, or evaluations to support design or product changes.
  • Documentation & Change Support – Assist with engineering documentation such as drawings, specifications, and engineering change records.
  • Cross‑Functional Collaboration – Work with Manufacturing, Quality, and Engineering teams to support product improvements from concept through implementation.
  • Data Collection & Reporting – Help gather and organize technical or performance data to support CPD decisions.
  • Continuous Improvement – Participate in initiatives focused on improving product quality, cost, or manufacturability.
  • Learning & Professional Development – Gain exposure to CPD processes, product lifecycle management, and engineering best practices through hands‑on experience and mentoring.
  • Employer Branding & Engagement – Act as an ambassador for the internship program by providing feedback and participating in early‑career engagement activities as needed.
  • Additional duties as assigned.
  • To be successful in this role, you’ll need:

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial, or related field).
  • Strong interest in product development or continuous improvement
    .
  • Basic understanding of engineering principles and problem‑solving methods.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team‑oriented environment.
  • Strong communication skills and eagerness to learn.
  • Things we consider a plus:

  • Coursework or experience related to product design, manufacturing processes, or engineering analysis
    .
  • Familiarity with CAD tools or engineering documentation.
  • Experience with team‑based projects or internships.
  • Interest in pursuing a long‑term career in Engineering or Product Development
    .
