Position: Join NFL as 4th Class Engineer
Location: Wood Islands

Become a part of Northumberland Ferries Limited (NFL) as a 4th Class Engineer, dedicated to safe and efficient ferry operations. This full-time year-round role is based from Wood Islands, PE, or Caribou, NS.

As a 4th Class Engineer at NFL, your role will be instrumental in ensuring the safety and functionality of our vessels. With a sailing season from May to December, you’ll engage in maintaining machinery while also participating in offseason repairs. Your commitment to teamwork and adherence to safety regulations will ensure our operational success.

Key Responsibilities:

• Carry out machinery maintenance and inspections

• Monitor Engine Control Room or Engine Room

• Update planned maintenance documentation

• Stick to pollution and safety regulations

• Manage Oilers’ work during your shift

Requirements:

• Hold a valid Certificate of Competency as a 4th Class Engineer

• Obtain a valid Seafarers Medical Certificate

• Understand critical safety and operational procedures

• Proven safety record and good communication skills

• Must be eligible to work in Canada
