Electrical Engineer at Elkview Operations

Location: East Kootenays (Fernie)

Join Elkview Operations as an Electrical Engineer, ensuring the safety and efficiency of electrical systems. You'll play a pivotal role in design and operation within processing facilities.

This position reports to the Senior Engineer Supervisor, Process. You will design, implement, and optimize electrical systems while troubleshooting issues across various components. Collaborating with teams to share best practices and improve equipment reliability is crucial for this role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Adhere to health and safety standards across operations

• Ensure compliance with electrical codes and safety guidelines

• Design and optimize electrical systems for processing facilities

• Troubleshoot issues in pumps, motors, and control panels

• Maintain electrical schematics and technical documentation

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field

• Minimum 2 years of experience in industrial settings

• Registered or eligible for registration as a Professional Engineer

• Knowledge of electrical systems and instrumentation

• Class 5 Driver’s License or equivalent
