Rheaume Engineering Inc. (Rheaume) is seeking a full-time Operations Engineer to join our team for a secondment position supporting one of Rheaume's long‑term clients, based in either Whitecourt or Fox Creek, Alberta. The secondment term will be at least six months, and the opportunity to continue working for Rheaume post‑secondment is available.
Role Description- Work with operations to identify plant issues and create MOC projects
- Collect field data to support engineering
- Plan, schedule, coordinate, and execute multidiscipline detailed engineering
- Liaise with project managers, clients, vendors, discipline leads, and support staff
- Participate in design reviews, model reviews, and HAZOPs
- Identify and manage changes to project scope/cost/schedule
- Review plot plans, PFDs, and P&IDs
- Review line, valve, tie‑in, car‑seal, and specialty item lists; PVF and instrument BOMs
- Prepare/review work packages for field operations and fabrication/ construction services
- Provide input into operability, constructability, and operational plant trouble‑shooting
- Brings a positive attitude and strong work ethic to the workplace
- Well‑spoken
- Strong technical writing skills
- Self‑motivated:
- Starts and completes assigned work without needing to be expedited
- Offers assistance to others on tasks/projects
- Seeks guidance when stuck (while bringing suggested solutions)

- Proficient in Microsoft Office products
- Must be currently living near Whitecourt or Fox Creek; or currently residing in Alberta and willing to relocate to Whitecourt or Fox Creek
- Must be registered as an E.I.T. or P.Eng. with APEGA
- Must have three years of Western Canada conventional oil & gas engineering experience
- Either employee or contractor status may be considered for this role
