Position: Underground Mine Planner Opportunity
Location: Lake Superior North Shore (Marathon)

Join Hemlo Mining Corp as an Underground Mine Planner in Marathon, Ontario. Contribute to production planning and ensure safety while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

The successful candidate will be part of the Mine Planning team, reporting to the Senior Production Engineer under a rotational schedule of 7:7 or 14:14. You will work closely with technical services and production staff, enhancing workplace safety and focusing on various technical aspects like ventilation and scheduling.

Your role will significantly impact mining operations and project outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with teams to ensure mine safety and productivity

• Develop skills in production planning and ventilation

• Assist in mine design through conceptual meetings

• Optimize mining processes for efficiency

• Conduct regular underground assessments of operations

Requirements:

• Degree in Mining Engineering or equivalent preferred

• 1–3 years’ underground mining experience

• Familiarity with mining software tools

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
