Location: Northeastern Alberta (Fort Chipewyan)

H  2  O Innovation is known for its state-of-the-art water and wastewater treatment systems as well as providing water and wastewater plant operations and maintenance management support across North America. H  2  O is seeking  Certified Level 1 and 2 Water & Wastewater Treatment Plant Operators  in the  C  entral Interior of British Columbia .

Work will consist of  1   2   hour days, 2 weeks on 2 weeks off shift-work (includes potential night shift-work) at a local gold mine  .
Flights/travel, meals, and accommodations paid  . Get your full year of pay, with only working less than half the year.

CONDITIONS

THE DAY-TO-DAY

Consistently offering professional, engaging and friendly service;

Ensures all work is performed in a safe and efficient manner;

Supporting staff with the maintenance and operation of the treatment plants according to related Government standards;

Maintenance and operation of the filtering and chemical treatment process;

Maintain all related readings and documentation;

Keeping a daily log and documenting of analytical parameters;

Creation and completion of work orders for servicing and repairs;

Supporting operations staff with vacation relief;

Supporting with the purchase of goods and equipment, and maintain inventory;

Supporting with data entry and reports to government agencies, departments, and other organizations as required;

Compliance with all safety and sanitation policies;

Ability to communicate effectively with other personnel and supervisors;

Support with the clients, vendors and engineers.

Shared on-call for emergency response

Training/support of other staff or on-site personnel

Professional
SKILLS & ATTRIBUTES DESIRED

A minimum of Level 2 in Water/Wastewater disciplines is required;

Experience operating and maintaining Water and Wastewater Treatment Plants and related equipment is required;

Must be flexible and demonstrate a dedication to the position and to the public services;

Computer literate with ability to use Microsoft Word, and Excel;

Valid Alberta Driver’s License required;

Must be able to perform on-call services on a rotational schedule;

Excellent and professional oral and written communication skills;

Physical Aspects of Position (include but are not limited to):

Walking/standing/bending/reaching/pushing/pulling:
Potential of 6-8 hr/day;

Computer work:
Potential of 1-4 hours/day;

Driving:
Potential of 4-6hr/day;

Physical Effort: does not lift weights more than 50 lbs;

Environmental Stress: busy atmosphere, working inside and outside.

Work Environment:

Work is performed indoors and outdoors in sometimes harsh weather conditions.
