The City of Orillia is hiring a motivated individual for the Collection/Distribution System Operator role. Responsibilities involve maintaining crucial water supply and wastewater systems. Applicants must hold a valid post-secondary diploma, OIT Certificate, and a ‘DZ’ driver’s license. Advanced certifications in hydro and wastewater are preferred for optimal performance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage daily operations of water and wastewater systems

• Execute infrastructure projects as needed

• Monitor and test water quality per regulations

• Ensure timely response during on-call scenarios

• Uphold safety protocols in all activities

Requirements:

• Relevant post-secondary education of at least two years

• OIT Certificate (Entry Level Course)

• Preferably possess Class III Water and Class II Wastewater licenses

• Valid Ontario ‘DZ’ driver’s license

• Capability for physical labor in outdoor settings
