Ontario Power Generation (OPG) is looking for a dynamic,strategic and results-driven professional to join our team in the role of Professional Experience Year (PEY) student. In this role, you will be guided by a dedicated manager who will oversee your work, offer hands-on support, and connect you with mentors devoted to your professional development. You will have the opportunity to work on real-world projects, allowing you to make meaningful contributions to the organization while gaining valuable, practical experience.

This posting is for multiple PEYpositions at Ontario Power Generation (OPG) starting in May 2027 . Applicants will be reviewed and matched with OPG managers hiring students within their discipline. The job description and accountabilities below are broad and may not reflect the specific duties of each placement. If selected for an interview, you'll receive details about the specific role, team, and responsibilities.

Key Accountabilities

Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team of professionals to support the operation of various systems.

Contribute to the overall objective of achieving an integrated environment dedicated to the safe and reliable operation of OPG’s plants.

Assist with developing and executing projects in compliance with the nuclear industry’s demanding set of regulations and standards using established project management processes.

Maintaining written documented processes and procedures to reflect improved operating methods and additions to all supported systems.

Other tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

Pursuing a full-time undergraduate degree at an accredited institution on a full-time basis OR by the start of the opportunity in May 2027, will have completed 3rd year of a 4-year program or 4th year of a 5-year program.

Have a minimum average of 70% GPA (B-).

Will be returning to full-time studies in the same program following the completion of the work term.

Currently enrolled and meets the minimum eligibility requirements for the Internship or Co-op Program as defined by your academic institution. Superior analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills and demonstrated project management, organizational, and leadership abilities.

Willingness to learn, take initiative, and adapt to new challenges.
