Located in Sparwood, this full-time role includes responsibilities such as enhancing pit designs and assessing slope stability risks. Your expertise will streamline operations while ensuring environmental stewardship during and after mining. Collaboration with various departments will be essential for effective project execution and compliance with safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Improve geological models for pit slope design

• Collaborate on field investigation and geotechnical programs

• Monitor pit wall stability and assess hazards

• Communicate model uncertainties to stakeholders

• Provide training to junior staff and summer interns

Requirements:

• Degree in Geology or related field

• At least 7 years of relevant mining experience

• Registered as P.Geo. or equivalent with EGBC

• Strong skills in geoscience data analysis

• Valid Class 5 Driver’s License required
