Job Description & How to Apply Below
Location: Squamish

Celerity Craft is a Squamish-based technology company developing the Dynamic Air Cushion Vehicle (DACV), a next-generation marine platform designed to deliver faster, more efficient and lower-impact marine transportation.

We are building and testing increasingly capable prototypes as we advance the technology toward commercial applications.

About the Role
We are seeking a hands‑on Electrical & Controls Engineer to support the design, development, integration and testing of electrical propulsion and control systems for our DACV prototypes, ranging from small remotely controlled models to larger crewed vessels.

You will work across electric motors, motor drives, power electronics, batteries, controllers, actuators, sensors and communication networks. This is a practical engineering role that involves taking systems from concept and component selection through design, assembly, integration, troubleshooting and real-world testing.

Key Responsibilities

Design, assemble, integrate and troubleshoot electrical, electronic and control systems for DACV prototypes.

Select, integrate and test electric motors, motor controllers, ESCs/inverters, battery systems, power electronics, servos, actuators and sensors.

Develop electrical architectures for propulsion, power distribution, instrumentation and auxiliary systems.

Configure and customize flight controllers, autopilots and other control hardware for vessel applications.

Develop, implement and tune control algorithms, scripts and automated functions for propulsion and vessel control.

Design and integrate helm controls, operator interfaces and electronic control systems.

Work with communication interfaces and control signals including PWM, CAN bus and UART.

Configure telemetry, data acquisition, sensor monitoring and remote‑control systems.

Integrate electrical protection, BMS interfaces, safety interlocks and emergency shutdown systems.

Prepare electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, component specifications and technical documentation.

Collaborate closely with mechanical engineers, vessel designers and suppliers.

Participate directly in prototype assembly, commissioning, troubleshooting and on‑water testing.

Analyze test data and implement improvements to system performance, reliability and safety.

Required Qualifications

Degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Electronics Engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent demonstrated practical experience.

Strong understanding of electrical circuits, electronics, electric motors, motor drives, sensors, actuators and control systems.

Hands‑on experience integrating, testing and troubleshooting electrical systems.

Familiarity with electric motors, motor controllers, ESCs, inverters and power electronics.

Understanding of communication protocols and control signals such as PWM, CAN bus and UART.

Experience with programming, scripting or implementing control logic.

Ability to read and develop electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.

Understanding of electrical power distribution, circuit protection and electrical safety.

Experience using test and diagnostic equipment such as multimeters, oscilloscopes and data acquisition systems.

Strong practical problem‑solving skills and the ability to work independently in a prototype development environment.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with Ardu Pilot, Mission Planner and Lua scripting.

Experience developing electrical or control systems for RC vehicles, UAVs, robotics or marine platforms.

Experience with electric vehicle or marine electric propulsion systems.

Familiarity with high‑voltage DC systems, battery packs, battery management systems and associated safety practices.

Experience with telemetry, data acquisition, sensor integration and…
