Apply underground surveying and technical data skills as Heidelberg Materials develops a new limestone mine near Cadomin and Hinton. Regular on-site presence is required.
The Underground Mine Technician supports construction, commissioning, and operation of a new room-and-pillar limestone mine. Responsibilities span survey control, development surveys, production surveys, mapping, and operational records. The role also supports ventilation monitoring, ground control, quality sampling, and engineering projects.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct underground and surface surveys, mapping, and stockpile measurements
- Maintain mine plans, drawings, maps, and technical databases
- Collect and verify survey, geological, and production data
- Operate total stations, GPS systems, scanners, and technical equipment
- Prepare operational reports and performance metrics
- Diploma or degree in mining, geological technology, surveying, or geomatics
- Minimum two years of related mining, construction, or technical experience
- Field survey and technical data collection experience
- Microsoft Office and technical software proficiency
- Relocation to Cadomin, Hinton, or surrounding area required
Support accurate mine data, surveying, mapping, and operational readiness for Heidelberg Materials’ underground limestone operation.
