Open to persons employed or residing in Ingonish, Nova Scotia or Cheticamp, Nova Scotia and within a 110 kilometre radius of Baddeck, Nova Scotia who have a legal status to work in Canada. Please indicate in your application the reason for which you are entitled to work in Canada:

About the position

Duties
The Visitor Facilities Attendant performs a full range of janitorial assignments to maintain clean and safe buildings and grounds including:

- Cleaning and maintaining visitor/public buildings/facilities;
- Cleaning and maintaining diversified accommodations;
- Conduct general cleaning around buildings, grounds, public-use areas such as visitor centers, campgrounds, beach areas and walkways;
- Lock and unlock buildings and gates;
- Observe appearance and condition of premises and equipment; report needed repairs, safety hazards, or conditions requiring servicing;
- Maintain / restock inventory of cleaning and toiletry supplies;
- Contribute to visitor experience by responding to general inquiries and direct visitors to sources of information and service areas.

Facility Attendants typically work in a team during the peak season, however, those that work earlier or later in the season may have some more independent work.
