Position: Lighthouse Festival Head Technician Role
Location: West Haldimand (Port Dover)

Step into the vibrant atmosphere of Lighthouse Festival as Head Technician in Port Dover, Ontario. This temporary contract offers hands-on technical experience in both rentals and summer theatre productions.

As the Head Technician, you'll play a pivotal role in facilitating technical aspects, working under the guidance of the Technical Director. Your involvement will include lighting setups, sound operations, and direct participation in main season productions. Evening and weekend hours are required based on the event calendar, with extended hours in summer.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee sound and lighting setups for events

• Operate sound and lighting systems effectively

• Manage technical aspects of summer productions

• Collaborate in production meetings and troubleshoot issues

• Maintain backstage and theatre areas systematically

Requirements:

• At least one year of postsecondary education in Technical Production

• Experience with ETC Ion, Sennheiser X32, and Qlab

• Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license

• Demonstrated ability to remain calm under pressure

• Strong teamwork and independent working skills
