Events Assistant

Position: Events Assistant at Shawnigan Lake School
Location: Shawnigan Lake

Become a key player in event coordination with Shawnigan Lake School as a part-time Events and External Programs Assistant. Ensure seamless execution of diverse school events and programs while delivering outstanding customer service.

This casual position involves working closely with the Events and External Programs Team to implement a variety of events throughout the year. We're seeking a high-energy multi-tasker with strong organization and time management skills. Flexibility is essential as shifts may occur on weekends, early mornings, or evenings, especially during peak times in May through October.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support event design and execution for various functions

• Assist in booking venues, equipment, and catering

• Ensure high standards for all planned events

• Represent the school on campus during events

• Manage student volunteers and logistical support

Requirements:

• Post-secondary education in Event Planning or related field preferred

• Ability to lift 25 lbs and stand for long periods

• Valid BC Driver’s License

• Strong Microsoft Office and Google Suite skills

• Excellent communication and customer service abilities
