Assistant Deputy Minister

Position: Assistant Deputy Minister at Government of Nunavut
Location: Outer Nunavut (Iqaluit)

Elevate public service as the Assistant Deputy Minister for Service Nunavut. This role focuses on enhancing service delivery, overseeing government programs, and ensuring client satisfaction across motor vehicle services.

Reporting to the Deputy Minister of Community Services, the ADM provides strategic direction in delivering essential services. With a commitment to service excellence, the ADM will lead initiatives aimed at optimizing operations and ensuring adherence to safety standards and regulations. This position supports the development of policies and training that align with key legislation, impacting community welfare and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the delivery of government programs and services

• Oversee motor vehicle and safety services

• Develop and approve relevant policies and training programs

• Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations

• Manage Government Liaison Offices effectively

Requirements:

• Ten years of senior management experience

• At least five years in a leadership role

• University degree in Business Administration preferred

• Satisfactory Criminal Record Check required

• Knowledge of Inuit culture and languages an asset
