Governance and Policy Advisor in Fort McMurray

Location: Northeastern Alberta (Fort Chipewyan)

Join the Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo as a Governance and Policy Advisor in Fort McMurray. This role is key for managing and developing municipal governance practices and policies.

Reporting directly to the Senior Manager, you will guide the development and revision of governance documents while also aiding the FOIP program's administration. Your proven skills in public administration and policy development will be instrumental in promoting best practices across departments and ensuring compliance with legislation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the development of policy management programs

• Create and update governance documents for the municipality

• Advise on compliance and innovative governance practices

• Research and assist in departmental strategies for improvement

• Facilitate effective service delivery within legislative services

Requirements:

• Strong background in public administration and governance

• Minimum three years of relevant experience

• Degree or diploma in a related field

• Proficient in FOIP legislation and administration

• Must complete Criminal Record Check and hold a valid Driver License
