Position: External Relations Executive Assistant Needed

The City of Brandon is looking for an External Relations Executive Assistant. This full-time role supports the Mayor and enhances intergovernmental collaboration in a dynamic municipal environment.

As the External Relations Officer/Executive Assistant, you will be instrumental in fostering partnerships between various government levels. This position emphasizes administrative excellence, strategic communication, and relationship-building with municipal partners and Indigenous communities. If you have a background in public administration or political science, and at least three years of relevant experience, we encourage you to apply.

Key Responsibilities:

• Liaise between federal, provincial, and municipal governments

• Monitor and report on policy and legislation

• Prepare communication materials and public reports

• Organize events and meetings for the Mayor

• Manage office operations and correspondence

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field

• Minimum 3 years in a government role

• Valid Manitoba driver’s license

• Clear Police Background Check required
