Position: Caledon By-Law Enforcement I Officer
Location: Dufferin County (Shelburne)

Take on a key role in the Town of Caledon's Municipal Law Enforcement team as an Officer I. You'll focus on enforcing by-laws around traffic, parking, and noise while educating the community.

As a unionized Officer, your work will be crucial in supporting the Supervisor of Municipal Law Enforcement. This position requires you to issue violations, investigate non-compliance, and implement initiatives that enhance community safety. Your collaboration with various enforcement agencies will help uphold regulations across Caledon.

Key Responsibilities:

• Enforce municipal by-laws, focusing on compliance and public education

• Manage and document Notice of Violation processes

• Investigate by-law complaints and generate reports

• Collaborate with enforcement partners for effective compliance

• Supervise towing to ensure proper vehicle management

Requirements:

• Education in Law Enforcement or a related discipline

• 1-3 years of relevant by-law enforcement experience

• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities

• Capability to address public issues with professionalism

• Completion of a criminal record check is mandatory
