Impact community safety as a Policies and Procedures Specialist at Wiikwemkoong Unceded Territory. This contract role centered on Security By-Law Enforcement requires expertise in policy development and Indigenous governance.

This position offers an 8-week contract with potential for extension, focusing on developing essential policies for the new Surveillance Department. Ideal candidates will possess 3-5 years of relevant experience, ideally within law enforcement or Indigenous contexts. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, along with the ability to consult effectively, are key aspects of this role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Draft policies supporting Security By-Law Enforcement

• Create policy framework for Surveillance Department operations

• Review and improve existing practices for better compliance

• Ensure alignment with legal and community standards

• Consult with leadership to gather necessary input

Requirements:

• Degree or diploma in a related field

• Minimum 3-5 years in policy development

• Understanding of Indigenous governance and privacy laws

• Strong writing and communication skills

• Capability to work on-site or hybrid as needed
