Join the City of Victoria's Community Safety team as a Bylaw Officer, where your work will ensure community compliance and safety through education and partnership. This full-time position involves rotating shifts and seeks candidates with strong analytical skills and community engagement experience.
As a Bylaw Officer, you will support City priorities by investigating complaints and enhancing community awareness about bylaws.
Your role will include proactive outreach and collaboration with diverse community members, ensuring compliance with various municipal regulations to foster a safe environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage and prioritize assigned case files
• Investigate complaints and provide excellent customer service
• Collaborate with community partners to support vulnerable citizens
• Develop community partnerships and referrals
• Engage actively in the Feet on the Street Program
Requirements:
• 3 years of experience or equivalent education
• Strong communication and conflict resolution skills
• High School Graduation required
• Current B.C. driver’s licence
• First Aid certification or willingness to obtain
