As the Ministry's new Lands Officer, you will engage in an open competition for a permanent position. This diverse role requires assessing land use applications, conducting inspections, and collaborating with multiple stakeholders including industry and Indigenous groups. The position allows for flexible work arrangements while actively participating in preserving Alberta’s landscapes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Evaluate land use applications for regulatory compliance

• Conduct field inspections of Crown land use

• Provide guidance on land management policies

• Work collaboratively with other regulatory bodies

• Contribute valuable insights for improving land management

Requirements:

• Completed 4-year degree in a relevant field

• Minimum of 4 years’ related work experience

• Valid Class 5 Driver’s License required

• Knowledge of public lands legislation is beneficial

• Stakeholder engagement experience preferred
