Bylaw Enforcement Auxiliary Officer

Location: Victoria

Join as an Auxiliary Bylaw Enforcement Officer in scenic Salt Spring Island or the Southern Gulf Islands. Your focus will be on investigations and animal control compliance.

This important position involves performing various duties, from enforcing animal control bylaws to conducting community patrols. Utilizing your skills in conflict resolution, you will address bylaw infractions and foster community relationships. The role requires regular engagement with the public and other agencies to ensure safety and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform inspections and enforcement of municipal bylaws

• Document evidence during field investigations

• Manage complaints and resolve community issues

• Collaborate with local agencies for effective enforcement

• Maintain clear records and documentation

Requirements:

• Bylaw Level 1 or 2 certification

• Relevant diploma or combination of education/experience

• Minimum one year related work experience

• Valid BC Driver's Licence required

• Completion of a criminal record check
