Associate Development Specialist in Newmarket

As a temporary full-time specialist, you’ll play a crucial role in research and technical support for urban planning. This position requires experience in managing data, preparing reports, and working closely with development submissions. You will collaborate with various departments to ensure comprehensive development responses.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and maintain technical information and mapping data

• Generate reports on planning information in development databases

• Review and assess submission accuracy for development applications

• Produce regular reports on new development applications

• Assist specialists and planners with development reviews

Requirements:

• University Degree in Urban Planning or related field

• Experience in planning with progressive responsibility

• Knowledge of the planning approval process

• Familiarity with the Planning Act and related legislation

• Strong computer literacy, especially in MS Office
