Emergency Preparedness Coordinator in Minnesota

Location: Saint-Paul

Lead emergency preparedness efforts in Minnesota as a Radiological Emergency Preparedness Coordinator. Support nuclear power response plans and enhance local capabilities while collaborating statewide.

This full-time role within the Department of Human Services coordinates the Emergency Response Plan for Nuclear Power Plants. You will manage training exercises, provide technical assistance, and ensure compliance with emergency management principles. Travel within Minnesota is expected, and the position allows for telework, subject to approval.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee Emergency Response Plan for Nuclear Power Plants

• Coordinate training, drills, and departmental responses

• Provide consultation and recommendations to local partners

• Support statewide REP goals and implement plans

• Manage grant budgets and agreements with partners

Requirements:

• Three years of experience in emergency response planning

• Knowledge of federal and state management principles

• Experience in crisis and disaster environments

• Strong communication and training delivery skills

• Valid driver’s license with towing capability
