Position: Security By-Law Enforcement Policy Developer
Location: Manitoulin (Little Current)

Join Wiikwemkoong Unceded Territory as a Policies and Procedures Specialist on contract. This 8-week position focuses on developing and formalizing vital policies for Security By-Law Enforcement operations.

You will collaborate with the Manager of Security By-Law Enforcement to create policies that strengthen community safety and accountability. Candidates should ideally have 3-5 years of experience in policy development related to security or Indigenous governance. Strong policy writing skills and an understanding of community values are crucial for success in this role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and draft essential policies and procedures

• Implement policies for a new Surveillance Department

• Review practices for enforcement compliance

• Ensure policies meet legal standards and community expectations

• Consult with leadership to refine policies

Requirements:

• Diploma or degree in Public Administration or related field

• 3-5 years of policy development experience

• Knowledge of Indigenous governance and relevant legislation

• Strong analytical and communication skills

• Ability to work independently in a contract setting
