Take on a pivotal role as a Lands Officer with the Ministry of Forestry and Parks in Peace River. This position champions responsible land management practices and regulatory compliance.
As a full-time professional, you'll report to the Lands Team Lead, overseeing regulatory processes for industrial, commercial, and recreational activities on Crown lands.
Your role encompasses assessing applications, conducting field inspections, and providing expert advice to various stakeholders while fostering integrated resource management.
Key Responsibilities:
• Review applications for land use on public lands
• Monitor compliance through field inspections and audits
• Advise stakeholders on regulatory matters
• Collaborate with governmental and regulatory bodies
• Develop and enhance policies based on operational feedback
Requirements:
• Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field
• At least 4 years of experience in land management
• Class 5 Driver’s License requirement
• Familiarity with legislation regarding public lands
• Experience with stakeholder collaboration and GPS technologies
