Position: Full-Time 911 Dispatcher in Yellowhead County
Location: Western Alberta (Jasper)

Become a vital part of Yellowhead County as a Full-Time 911 Dispatcher. Handle emergency calls and coordinate fire and police services while maintaining professionalism and efficiency.

This permanent role involves managing 911 calls, dispatching firefighting resources, and overseeing Peace Officer call-taking. You will collect vital information, prioritize responses, and maintain thorough documentation. The position demands quick thinking and a strong focus on responder safety during high-pressure situations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Answer 911 and related calls professionally

• Dispatch firefighting resources based on urgency

• Monitor respondent safety using radio communication

• Maintain logs using CAD and RMS systems

• Conduct safety checks on working alone employees

Requirements:

• Grade 12 education minimum; post-secondary preferred

• Experience in emergency dispatch highly valued

• Valid Alberta Driver’s License; CPR/First Aid certification

• Strong typing and computer skills essential

• Ability to work under pressure and multitask
