Location: Central Yukon (Dawson City)

Make a real difference as the Intergovernmental Coordinator for Vuntut Gwitchin First Nation. Drive political strategies, foster relationships, and support cultural initiatives within this influential role.

This vital position provides administrative and coordination support to Chief & Council, the Executive Director, and various Departments. You will coordinate intergovernmental relations, facilitate meetings, and assist in planning community events. Your efforts will help promote wellness, self-sufficiency, and prosperity for Vuntut Gwitchin Citizens.

Key Responsibilities:

• Facilitate meetings with First Nations and government bodies

• Provide high-level administrative support and strategic advice

• Plan and deliver community and intergovernmental events

• Collaborate on formal communications with stakeholders

• Manage financial tracking of intergovernmental initiatives

Requirements:

• Degree in political science or related field preferred

• 3-5 years of experience in intergovernmental relations

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and record management

• Experience drafting and editing briefings

• Knowledge of Vuntut Gwitchin agreements is an asset
