Position: Privacy and Access Deputy Clerk Role

Join the Town of Pelham as a Deputy Clerk focused on privacy and statutory responsibilities. This full-time position requires strong administrative and legal document skills.

In this contract role, you’ll serve as the go-to resource for privacy and access to information, supporting the Town’s corporate administrative functions. You'll act as the Town Clerk when needed and oversee crucial tasks such as managing legal filings and ensuring compliance with the Municipal Act. Candidates should possess substantial experience and strong communication capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Act as Town Clerk in their absence, guiding essential meetings

• Manage the Town’s privacy and information requests

• Advise departments on compliance and access issues

• Supervise and coordinate junior clerk activities

• Lead privacy assessment and control implementation

Requirements:

• Post-secondary education in Political Science or related field

• Five years’ administrative experience in a municipal role

• Relevant local government administration certifications

• Excellent planning, organizational, and communication skills

• Strong ability to maintain discretion and confidentiality
