Senior Indigenous Engagement Advisor

Location: Central Yukon (Dawson City)

Drive Indigenous relations strategy as a Senior Advisor in the Transportation Division. You’ll guide engagement, consultations, and project collaboration with Indigenous groups across Yukon on a two-year term.

This is a two-year anticipatory permanent position, seeking a Senior Advisor to develop impactful strategies for the Transportation Division.

Your role includes advising on engagement and accommodations while collaborating with Yukon government departments. Strong organizational skills and experience with Indigenous consultations are crucial for managing multiple projects effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop strategies for Indigenous consultations and engagement

• Collaborate with various Yukon government departments

• Provide expert recommendations to senior management

• Prioritize and manage multiple projects efficiently

• Conduct necessary research on agreements and regulations

Requirements:

• Degree in Public Administration or related field

• Significant experience with Indigenous groups and negotiations

• Proven ability in project management and organization

• Strong verbal and written communication skills

• Class 5 driver’s license or equivalent
