* There has never been a more exciting time to be are an integrated health system providing the full continuum of care to the six communities of the western James Bay coast with over 500 employees, physicians, and partners in care. As a health authority, you will work in a unique setting where you have the opportunity to care for patients in all phases of their life journey, in all areas of their health experience.
From Primary, Acute, and Mental Health, Dental, Specialty Clinics, Population Health and the WAHA Paramedic Service, the opportunities for growth are boundless. * Who You Are
* * Skill in the application of the professional sciences of food, nutrition and management
* Assess, plan, implement and evaluate nutrition care plans
* Ability to develop normal and therapeutic diets
* Ability to adapt normal and therapeutic diets to group and individual’s cultural, religious, economic needs and preferences
* Ability to integrate nutrition services into the health delivery system including the preventive program
* What You’ll Do
* * Provide professional nutritional therapy, education and prevention to clients in outpatient/ inpatient settings, in one
-on-one consultations, group sessions and community based educational presentations via in-person either in clinic, in community or home visits, or by way of virtual settings (telephone, OTN, video conferencing)
* Nutritional assessments, evaluations, counselling
* Attends multidisciplinary meetings as an Allied Health member
* Leads presentations and workshops centered around nutrition (prevention, cooking demonstrations, etc)
* Fosters and facilitates interdisciplinary collaborative relationships within the organization and with community partners, to ensure high standard of practice and deliver of quality nutritional education

* * An accredited 4-year or equivalent degree with appropriate courses in sciences and human nutrition, administration and humanities
