Clinical Pharmacy Specialist - Defined Practice Area

Licensed by the College of Pharmacists of British Columbia. An accredited post-baccalaureate Pharm

D from a Canadian University or an accredited Year Two Pharmacy Residency PLUS a minimum of two (2) years of clinical pharmacy practice experience including one year experience related to the defined practice area OR an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

• Demonstrated proficiency and achievement in clinical pharmacy practice.
• Demonstrated clinical knowledge and ability in the care of patients within area of specialty.
• Ability to establish curricula and conduct performance evaluations for clinical rotations within assigned area.
• Ability to retrieve and evaluate drug literature to support the development of clinical care pathways and medication use evaluations.
• Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing with a variety of stakeholders
• Ability to coach, mentor, teach, demonstrate techniques and facilitate learning within a multidisciplinary setting.
• Ability to recognize and deal with emergent situations.
• Ability to organize work, establish priorities and meet deadlines.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, staff, other health care providers and community agencies.
• Demonstrated conflict resolution skills
• Ability to promote and foster good public relations.
• Ability to operate related equipment, including computerized systems.
• Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position.
